As a graduate student, you tend to over think things.  I got this tattoo because it’s really nerdy, it’s useful, it’s funny, and it reminds me that some things in life are best enjoyed without thinking.  I got the piece done by Liana who was working at Living Canvas Tattoo in Tempe, Arizona at the time.  She was a pleasure to work with and the people at Living Canvas were equally inviting.  So, I present to you, the Rule of Thumb tattoo.
